Pretty Yarrr, Shoog...

Walking the Inner Harbor is becoming a bit of a pastime for the Bean and I. She caught me uh...manning my tiller...

In unrelated news- I caught Torche last night at the Ottobar. They played with Helms Alee (pretty freaking good) and Big Business (really f***ing good). After this show, I am certain of some things:

1. Nobody outperforms Torche. Metallica, The Stones, Prince...I don't care. Your dad's favorite band, your friend who works in a record stores' top five bands- none of them outperform Torche. Some might perform just as well (I seriously doubt it), but none do it better. They are simply the best live act f***ing out there.

2. Meanderthal came from another plane of existence. Torche opened up with In Return (one of my favorites), played Charge of the Brown Recluse, and a bunch of songs off of their new Songs for Singles release. But they also played a lot of material off of Meanderthal, and, well, there just aren't words. Buy the album and you'll see. It's opened my eyes to a lot of beautiful, awesome shit, and hearing it live is just f***ing incredible, every time.
