Because I want to let my friends and family know that I am not up to anything either. Pedaling and living, taking and giving. Mostly taking.

Strapless
Got a bit of a bug problem in the place, but they aren't annoying, per se, and I'm working on it. Fell asleep last night to some Tupac. Woke up, watched the Tour de France. Those guys get to pedaling in excess of thirty-five miles an hour, maybe more in the straights. Blowing my mind-scoggle.

Front Porchin' It
"Meet Colt."
"He likes to behead garden angels."
"And he doesn't even feel guilty..."
"He also likes pelicans."
The Herbrich family got a new lil' bud chilling around the house. Nice looking dude.

Dead Men of the Gulf Coast
American Gangster.
The Herbrich dogs do it right on the Fourth- partied 'til they puked. Then passed out. The only way.
Took in Galveston with her momma. Handled some of her modeling work for L.L. Bean at the same time. Two birds with one stone.
Missing on you.
Preach, sister.

Tilt Mode
This week is a paid week of vacation for errybody at Rickson Truck Wheels. Wasn't supposed to be in the shop. Well, I am bored as hell, and extra money never hurt, so I went in today anyway. Two hours in and boom- smashed the shit out of my middle finger. Split the nail- might loose it, might not. Freaking bummed. That's the way it goes. Definitely not going in tomorrow- wouldn't be of any use. You win some, you lose some more.
Couldn't go for a ride today, couldn't do push-ups, couldn't reach into my right side pocket. So I went for a run. Found this on the ground and thought it would make a good pic, so I took it home. There was still some in there, too. But naw, too scared of the stuff- watched too many youtube freak-out vids.
On the front of the package: "The Journey Begins..." and a level of 3 out of 10, with regard to intensity. For a "very enjoyable" ride.
On the back: Instructions for usage, and a time frame for the length of the effects: "Effects will last 10-15 minuets per use." Minuets, eh? Canadians...

The Jackelope
Shelley got an issue of Vice in Seattle and brought it home. Never touched the magazine before this week- but I am really into it. Think I am gonna pick more up. Anyway, I came across this layout and freaked out. It's an ad for Volcom Denim, featuring Valient Thorr playing at SxSW.
I can't make out faces in the ad because of the coloration, but I am sure me and the dudes are in it. Mark, Landon, Pete, Travis and I were all at that show, together. Losing our f***ing minds together. It was in a small venue, packed to the gills, and we all burst in together, headed straight for the mess. Pete was the first one in, and the loudest, screaming, "Party's here! The party's here!" so loud he was sure the band could here him. When we walked out we were swimming-pool-sweating, just pouring it. It was an amazing time.
The books we read. Shelley's two on top, and my copy of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Solutions Using R and Bioconductor at the bottom. Hehehehe...
