Because I want to let my friends and family know that I am not up to anything either. Pedaling and living, taking and giving. Mostly taking.

Ideas and Opinions
"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed."

Boyfriend Chameleon
Saw
this band during my stint on the east coast. Went to the show expecting
one thing (to see some hip-hop, actually), got something totally
different. Wye Oak just blew my fucking brains out. First, yeah- I
thought she was really pretty. But Jesus. A deece sound from just two
people. Subtle, yet fucking powerful. Nuanced. A hauntingly beautiful voice. I thought it was perfect. Still
listen to this band a lot.
I wish you didn't need it anymore
I understand exactly what you use it for
And better isn't always doing well
I know because I'm better now myself
And it's true, I need it too
But not the way that you do

Stellar Collapse
The event horizon, the boundary of the region of space-time from which it is not possible to escape, acts rather like a one-way membrane around the black hole: objects, such as unwary astronauts, can fall through the event horizon into the black hole, but nothing can ever get out of the black hole through the event horizon. (Remember that the event horizon is the path in space-time of light that is trying to escape from the black hole, and nothing can travel faster than light.) One could well say of the event horizon what the poet Dante said of the entrance to Hell: "All hope abandon, ye who enter here." Anything or anyone who falls through the even horizon will soon reach the region of infinite density and the end of time.

Come, My Fanatics
A picture of a picture. The crowd for Electric Wizard at Maryland's Deathfest. Heavy, heavy hitters who seldom play in the States. Lucky bastards- one year earlier and I would have been there.
The rhythmic drumming at the very beginning of the song, it's like a knocking to me. I hear it, and I visualize someone knocking on the door, and then I get up and put my hand on the knob to open the door, and as I'm turning the knob the door gets kicked in. And I'm laid the fuck out.
But you gotta TURN IT UP if you want to see and feel that.

New Eyes Open
It's the best part (of all of this)
Cause we have been left for dead- in our own fucking beds
Forced to start again
With new eyes open
The end's where it begins
And that's what I like about it
It's not so complicated

Generating Whirlpools
Such a good-ass time. Birthday, booze and new faces. My friends are amazing human beings. The friends of my friends are amazing human beings. Kicks ass, makes life even easier for me than it already is.
Steven and Rebecca- thanks for the festivities! Rich- sorry about the forehead. I get a couple of beers in me and I become a professional wrestler.
